• AGRODOME a popular tourist attraction and showcases the best of New Zealand’s rural life and agriculture. Visitors can watch sheep shearing and sheepdog trials, as well as get up close and personal with animals like cows, deer, alpacas, and rabbits. A highlight of the Agrodome experience is the opportunity to hand-feed and interact with the friendly farm animals.
• TE WHAKAREWAREWA VALLEY is a living Maori village that has been inhabited by the Tūhourangi Ngāti Wāhiao people for over 200 years. The valley is known for its geothermal activity, including geysers, hot springs, and mud pools. Visitors can take guided tours of the village, watch cultural performances, and learn about Maori traditions and culture.
• THE REDWOODS known for its towering trees and picturesque walking trails. The park is home to some of the largest trees in the world, many of which are over 100 years old. Visitors can take a guided tour of the forest or explore on their own, with a variety of walking tracks ranging from easy strolls to more challenging hikes
• AUCKLAND CITY TOUR visit Auckland’s central business district and its surrounding parks, historic buildings, and a range of cultural attractions as well as the iconic Sky Tower.

• LAKE TEKAPO / CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPARDS one of the most famous and recognisable icons of Lake Tekapo is the charming Church of the Good Shepherd, and the most photographed church! Nestled right on the shores of the vivid blue lake, and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, this is one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand.
• LAKE PUKAKI is a shimmering blue jewel set into a grand alpine playground – an iconic New Zealand landscape of high mountain peaks, glacier fed alpine lakes and golden tussocks stretched beneath an endless sky. Sir Peter Jackson chose this part of the Southern Alps as the setting for ‘Lake-town’ in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
• TWIZEL CANAL
• AORAKI VILLAGE/MT COOK NATIONAL PARK is home of the highest mountains and the longest glaciers. It is alpine in the purest sense – with skyscraping peaks, glaciers and permanent snow fields, all set under a star-studded sky. According to Ngāi Tahu legend, Aoraki and his three brothers were the sons of Rakinui, the Sky Father. While on a sea voyage, their canoe overturned on a reef. When the brothers climbed on top of their canoe, the freezing south wind turned them to stone. The canoe became the South Island (Te Waka o Aoraki); Aoraki and his brothers became the peaks of the Southern Alps.

• LINDIS PASS is a mountain pass s known for its stunning mountain scenery and tussock grasslands and a popular destination for road trips, with many visitors stopping to take in the views and explore the surrounding area. • LAKE WANAKA/LONELY WANAKA TREE is said to be one of the most photographed trees in all New Zealand. The lone tree is right at the foothills of Mount Aspiring National Park, a World Heritage Site, acting as a doorway into even more of the breathtaking landscapes that embody the South Island of New Zealand.
• CROMWELL FRUIT FARM the Jones Family Fruit Stall is one of the best-known fruit stalls in Central Otago, with people coming from all over New Zealand and the world to visit. The fruit stall stocks a huge array of fresh fruits, dried fruits, nuts, honey products and vegetables.
• KAWARAU BRIDGE Kawarau Suspension Bridge can be experienced in three ways: bungy jumping off it, cycling over it or walking across it.

• MILFORD SOUND CRUISE famously described by Rudyard Kipling as the ‘eighth wonder of the world’, Milford Sound is breath-taking in any weather – with its fiord’s cliffs, mountainous peaks and waterfalls as high as 1000m. When it rains in Milford Sound, and it often does, those waterfalls multiply with magnificent effect.
• MIRROR LAKES is a collection of beautiful reflection ponds and lakes on the way to Milford Sound. On a calm day, the lakes are truly like a mirror, reflecting the mountains
• HOMER TUNNEL just before the Milford Road begins its descent through the Cleddau Valley into Milford Sound, it passes through the Homer Tunnel, a 1.2km-long tunnel through solid rock. Before the tunnel opened in 1954 after 19 years of construction, there was no road access to Milford Sound.
• THE CHASM not far from the Homer Tunnel, another scenic highlight is worth a brief stop: the Chasm is a series of gushing waterfalls just a short walk from the road.
• EGLINTON VALLEY one of the first highlights of a trip to Milford Sound after entering Fiordland National Park is the Eglinton Valley. It was carved out by glaciers thousands of years ago. Today, steep rocky mountains covered in native beech forest line the valley. The flat floor of the valley is covered in eye-catching golden tussock grass.

Following breakfast, depart to Dunedin. Known as the Wildlife Capital of New Zealand, Dunedin prides itself on its beautiful built heritage, stunning scenery, and unique biodiversity. Surrounded by dramatic hills and at the foot of a long, picturesque harbour, Dunedin is one of the best-preserved Victorian and Edwardian cities in the Southern Hemisphere.

• BALDWIN STREET aka the world’s steepest street, is a strange tourist attraction in suburban Dunedin. Walking up Baldwin Street isn’t too hard and it’s worth it to see an obscure world record. There are also good views of Dunedin’s green surrounds from the top.

• MOERAKI BOULDERS you simply can’t drive along the North Otago coast without stopping to stare at the Moeraki Boulders – they’re amazing!
