Turkey has a rich cultural history with influences from both East and West. It is home to many ancient monuments such as the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus and the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. It also boasts stunning landscapes such as Cappadocia with its fairy chimneys and breathtaking beaches along its Mediterranean coast.
Activities
Gather at KLIA 3 hours before flight departure to Istanbul On arrival, rest at airport lounge till next flight.
Transfer to next flight to Diyakabir. On arrival, meet and greet with local representative and proceed with tour:
- DIYARBAKIR GREAT MOSQUE the oldest mosque in Anatolia and possibly the oldest in Turkey. It was was built by the Great Seljuk Sultan Malik-Shah I over an older mosque, and its shape was inspired by the Great Mosque of Damascus.
- DIYARKABIR CITY WALL with it’s 82 towers is the first in terms of the size and the height of its towers and second in term of length following the famous Great Wall of China.
- HASAN PASA CARAVANSERAI a historic building and former caravanserai in Diyarbakır, Turkey. It is located near the center of the Sur district (the old walled city), across from the Great Mosque of Diyarbakır. It was built in the 16th century during the Ottoman period.
- HAZRAT SULEIMAN MOSQUE & INNER WALL
Overnight at Diyarkabir.
Following breakfast, check out from hotel and depart for Mardin – a historic city in South Eastern Turkey, close to the border with Syria. In ancient times it was an important Silk Road town with links to Mesopotamia in the South, Europe to the west and Asia to the East. The city itself is full of history and historic buildings.
- DEYFULZEFERAN MONASTERY is one of the unique structures overlooking Mesopotamia in the magical land of Mardin. This monastery, which is 4 km away from the city center, is also called the Syriac masterpiece.
- MADRASA KASIMYE is a remarkable structure that has withstood the test of time. It was established during the Artuklu Period and completed under the reign of Akkoyunlu ruler Cihangiroğlu Kasım (1457-1502). is renowned for its impressive architecture, including its plan layout, stone craftsmanship, and ornamental motifs. In addition to the mosque and abandoned mausoleum, the complex features an open courtyard with a fountain and large pool.
Overnight at Mardin.
Following breakfast, we depart for Sanilurfa – (the Prophets’ City and also known as Urfa), is a pilgrimage town and spiritual centre. This is where the prophets Eyub (Job) and Abraham left their marks.
- TOMB OF PROPHET EYUB
- GOBLEK TEPE is the world’s oldest example of monumental architecture; a ‘temple’ built at the end of the last Ice Age, 12,000 years ago. It was discovered in 1995 CE when, just a short distance from the city of Şanliurfa in Southeast Turkey, a Kurdish shepherd noticed a number of large, embedded stones, stones which had clearly been worked – and which turned out to be the most astonishing discovery.

- HARRAN CITY TOUR this ancient city dates back to the 3rd millennium BCE when the area was a cultural, religious, and commercial center.
- MEVLID HALIL MOSQUE is the the mosque built next to the site where prophet Ibrahim (Biblical Abraham) is believed to have been born.
- BALIKLIGOL this pool is believed by Muslims to be the place where Prophet Ibraham was thrown into the fire by Nimrod. The story says that when Prophet Ibrahim landed in the fire, Allah turned the flames to water and the burning logs into fish, hence the translation of the Turkish name into “lake of fish”.
Overnight at Urfa.
Today we depart for Gaziantep – brimming with restored Seljuk and Ottoman architecture, Gaziantep’s historic old city is one of the top destinations in Turkey’s southeastern region. It is also the perfect place for people who love exploring amazing cuisine and delicacies!
- HALFETI BOAT CRUISE we will drive to the picturesque town of Halfeti, for a scenic boat tour down the Euphrates River. Known as the “Sunken City,” a great part of Halfeti’s structures are underwater due to the construction of a dam in 1999. Highlights include the imposing Rumkale Castle, an ancient fortress built on a steep cliff at the river’s edge.
- ZEUGMA MOSAIC MUSEUM houses mosaics from the Roman and Late Antique periods and are regarded as some of the finest Roman mosaics in the world. A small but magnificent mosaic called The Gypsy Girl is the most famous piece in the museum’s collection.
- GAZIANTEP BAZAAR be sure to visit the beautiful Covered Bazaar (Zincirli Bedesten) which was built in 1718. And note that most famously sold in the bazaar are pistachios and baklavas.

We say goodbye to Giziantep and hello to Adana.
- ADANA CITY TOUR visit the most charming spots in Adana and find out why it is called the cradle of civilizations. See the ruins of Anavarza that preserves the outline of the old city and uncover the many stories hidden in the streets, buildings and corners of Adana.

After breakfast, we depart for Cappadocia, en-route visiting Tarsus – a city in ancient Cilicia located in the modern-day province of Mersin, Turkey. It is one of the oldest continually inhabited urban centers in the world, dating back to the Neolithic Period.

- DANYAL MOSQUE Makam-ı Danyal Mosque is located in the city center of Tarsus, just across the Kubat Pasha Madrasa. The mosque, which was built in 1857 on the tomb thought to belong to the Prophet Daniel, took its name from the Prophet Daniel.
- AHL AL KAHF or SEVEN SLEEPERS CAVE The legend of the ‘seven sleepers’ involves seven Christian boys who were persecuted by the Roman Emperor Trajan, then escaped to a cave and slept there for 309 years.

Enjoy a half day tour of Cappadocia before we depart for Amasya.
- GOREME OPEN AIR MUSEUM is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fascinating museum consists of a complex of cave churches and monasteries, many of which date back to the 10th, 11th, and 12th centuries.
- UCHISAR CASTLE beautiful and historic castle built on a hilltop overlooking the town and the surrounding desert landscape.
- KAYMAKLI UNDERGROUND CITY is one of the most popular underground cities in Cappadocia, Turkey. It was built by the early Christian communities in the region during the 8th and 7th centuries BC and was used as a shelter from invasions, natural disasters, and attacks.

- AMASYA CITY TOUR which includes Kral Kaya Mezarları, Amasya Castle, and Sultan II Bayezid Külliyesi amongst others.
- SAFRANBOLU CITY TOUR this UNESCO-listed town once important trade route town is a daydream of the grand Ottoman days, and many perfectly preserved mansions from the era still grace the streets of the old town district.

Today we depart for Istanbul.
- GRAND CAMLICA MOSQUE Perched on the hill after which it is named, the now-largest mosque in Turkey opened its doors to the public on March 7, 2019, as a place of worship as well as a symbol of state pride and Turkish national identity.
- GRAND BAZAAR & SPICE MARKET is one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, with 61 covered streets and over 4,000 shops.
Overnight in Istanbul.
- DOLMABAHCE PALACE is a jewel located on the Bosphorus shores of Istanbul. The palace, which started operating in 1856, was the place where the sultans lived in the last years of the Ottoman Empire. Topkapi Palace in Sultanahmet hosted the Ottoman sultans for nearly 400 years. However, as the shores of the Bosphorus gained importance in the 1800s, the Ottoman throne was also moved to the Dolmabahce Palace.
- HAGIA SOPHIA is a great architectural beauty and an important monument both for Byzantine and for Ottoman Empires. Once a church, later a mosque, and now a museum.
